Partnership with Australia

December 9, 2009

About a week ago, Michael Porter (a.k.a. rahlo) and his daughter, Abrianna headed to Australia to join hands with Darren and Judy Hamilton who work with Campus Crusade for Christ, Australia. You may recognize rahlo as the solo performer of the blackSoil project, Keynote‘s hip-hop artist. Earlier this year Keynote sent our summer project band, Young Isaac “down under” for outreach events in conjunction with the Hamilton’s ministry to students. So, when the opportunity came up to send rahlo, we were excited to again join hands in ministry to share the hope of the gospel.

We received an email earlier in the week with some updates of how God is working…

“The first concert was at Wycliffe Christian School in front of over 300 students from Yr5- Yr12. Rahlo was a hit and had the students on the edge of their seats with his visual appeal, fun accent, excellent music and challenging stories.

Rahlo also clearly presented the gospel and this resulted in over 90 positive responses from students, including 31 decisions for Christ…Praise God!

Please be praying for follow-up, which will be difficult at this stage of the school year.”
