Keynote Summer Project 2010 Begins

2010 Summer Project Staff Members

Monday, June 7 marked the beginning of the 2010 Keynote Summer Project. Students from all over the country gathered at Keynote’s East Street Studios for dinner and a time of worship. What better way to begin project than by coming before the Lord to worship Him and offer our lives and hearts for His purposes. I loved seeing the students engaged in worship of our God who is able to change lives and transform hearts!

I had the chance to speak with a couple of returning students about their experience last year and what brought them back to another Keynote project.

Brian mentioned that he is really looking forward to the communication training, especially continuing to write his story and learning to become a better communicator.

When asked how God had confirmed to him that he should return, Brian said he was “homesick” for Keynote from the moment he left and kept thinking about his experiences here and the people he had come to know. He even had dreams about it. It wasn’t long before he made a decision to apply again and see what God would do.

Jay had already been thinking about an internship or even full-time ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ when he came on project last summer. He decided to return for another summer to use the time as a “testing ground” for whether God might be calling him to do this full-time. As he reflected on last year’s project, Jay told me that God had used the project to begin healing from the past and to develop godly character in his life.

As you know, our desire at Keynote is to be a part of life change! I look forward to checking in with Brian and Jay as the summer goes on to hear about God’s work in their lives to shape them and guide them. Stay tuned for more great Summer Project stories in the weeks to come…
