Friday Flashback – The Convertibles

[In 2011 Keynote celebrates 45 years of ministry. We thought we would use our Friday posts to look back on God’s faithfulness through the years.]

In 1986 Keynote launched a band with a twist. Well, actually, it was the peppermint twist. The Convertibles, a ’50s and ’60s band using drama, humor and lots of energy, toured for 15 years around the country and internationally. The original group was born out of the Keynote Training Center and toured together for a couple of years. The band joined hands with Campus Crusade’s high school ministry, Student Venture, to reach students with the message of the gospel and later performed for audiences of all ages.
