Raise Support
Like many other mission organizations, Campus Crusade for Christ has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses. Campus Crusade depends on the consistent financial support of individuals and churches. These contributions are used to fund the ministries of our staff members.
Developing a financial support team is a faith adventure and an opportunity to see God work in your life and the lives of those who stand with you financially. It’s also the best possible preparation for ministry because inviting someone to know Christ is no easier than inviting someone to support your ministry. Both require courage and humility.
The heart of the matter is, God promises to meet your needs. If he calls you to a supported ministry position, he’ll provide everything you need to fulfill your ministry—including emotional strength and perseverance.
He also promises to bless those who give. By inviting people to partner with you in your ministry, you’re helping them make investments that will return benefits to them now and throughout eternity.
Check out these scriptures:
- “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
- Philippians 4:19
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
- Acts 20:35
“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’”
- Malachi 3:10-12
Contact Form
The first step in being a part of Keynote is to fill out the Getting to Know You Questionnaire. Once you submit this form, we'll be in touch with you.
God's blessing on you as you discern his plan and desire for your future!
Application
While much of this process is accomplished by forms, it’s anything but impersonal. We have many leaders on staff who put a lot of care and effort into the application process and who will know the particulars of your application. Tons of phone calls go on behind the scenes.
As a Keynote staff family, we really enjoy meeting the people who feel God calling them into full-time ministry. We require everyone who’s interested in full-time staff to come visit the Keynote headquarters in Westfield, Indiana—we’ll provide meals and housing during your stay.
Once you’ve taken the first step by filling out our online questionnaire, email us and we’ll be in touch with you to tell you more about Keynote and talk through the application process.
FAQs
- (Q) Do individual staff members get compensation from any money Keynote gets from doing a concert?
- (A) No. Individual Keynote staff do not receive any sort of compensation—it all goes to the ministry of Keynote.
It takes a lot to run a ministry. Upkeep on our vehicles and facilities alone costs a ton. But staff can reimburse from their personal staff accounts all of the expenses they incur on the road. Keynote pays for fuel, hotels, and housing, but staff can reimburse snacks and meals while on the road.
- (Q) If I’m accepted in a full-time touring band, what percentage of the time will I be traveling while on staff?
- (A) It depends on what kind of band you’re in, whether you’re doing local concerts, and how many concerts your booking agent books for your band.
Typically, bands don't travel for more than 3 weeks at a time or more than 6 months out of the year. In addition to touring, each of our bands are responsible for developing ministry and outreach opportunities via the internet.
- (Q) What outreach opportunities exist outside of the bands?
- (A) We’re creating short films, developing internet content, and equipping overseas ministry partners with training and resources. We’re praying for the results to be global impact and life change. There are many opportunities to reach people for Christ. To find out more, check out the many opportunities we have.
- (Q) Will I be given a specific Keynote placement once I’m at New Staff Training? When does placement begin?
- (A) During New Staff Training, you’ll take seminary classes and learn how to raise full-time financial support. This is a great time to meet new Campus Crusade staff from all over the country. New staff training is held in Florida (although, it is held in Colorado every other Summer).
You will then be sent off to raise your full-time financial support. We call this process Ministry Partner Development (MPD). Once you’ve reached your initial support goal, you’ll be given clearance to report to Keynote. You’ll receive your first full time placement at that time.
