Give Your Labor

Labor

SCOTT, DIRECTOR OF ARTISTS & GUITARIST FOR ‘THE GAP THEORY’ – KEYNOTE

Making a mid-career change after 18 years in Information Technology to serve as a full-time music missionary was drastic, to say the least. I had a happy life, but I felt the call of God to live out my faith vocationally.

As Keynote artists, we often see people start a relationship with Christ through our live shows. As a band, we share the gospel from stage and leave each outreach with a whole different set of emotions knowing that many people made really important life decisions that day. We celebrate those decisions with U.S. prisons, military bases, churches and campus ministries who host our outreach events. We also celebrate when God allows us to work alongside people from other countries who share our passion for bringing the gospel to their home nation.

Personally, when we’re able to directly witness the results of our labor like that, I just sleep better at night. When I get to see soldiers, college students, prisoners, professionals or others put their lives in God’s hands, it re-affirms my decision to follow God’s leading into full-time ministry.

To live out the Great Commission at Keynote as a team leader and musician is incredibly life-giving to me.
