2009 (Keynote’s 44th year of ministry as a part of Campus Crusade for Christ) has been an exciting time to watch the Lord at work! Not only have we seen amazing international opportunities, but sometimes, the internationals come to us.
Earlier this year four Chinese girls stumbled upon a blue sky nine concert on their campus. They not only stayed until the end, but they took time to speak with Holly (female vocalist) afterward. When she asked them if they had ever heard of Jesus Christ. They replied, “Jesus”? She went on to share the gospel with them and gave them several resources to take them with them, including, “More Than a Carpenter” by Josh McDowell. While the girls didn’t respond to the gospel that day, they left with great appreciation for the gifts and the message!
Below are a few other highlights from Keynote’s ministry in 2009.
- A visit from the entire South Korean Campus Crusade Music Ministry (about two dozen staff) where we had the opportunity to provide training and vision to expand their evangelistic impact in that nation as well as all of southeast Asia;
- A Summer Project where Keynote and Impact were able to send out six bands that performed more than 80 outreach concerts for 8,000+ people with 812 indicating that they began a relationship with Jesus!
- A training trip to Panama where our team was able to help more than 30 Central American believers grow in their ability to communicate the gospel to that region;
- A blue sky nine tour to Mongolia where they provided music and communication to that young ministry and also performed six outreach concerts for more than 1,800 people with 200+ indicating they received Christ. Click here to see a video highlight.
All together Keynote sent outreach and/or training teams to nine countries and performed more than 360 concerts for more than 60,000 people. Close to 3000 people indicated a decision to trust Christ. Only God knows how many more began a journey of life change as a result of Keynote’s influence and your partnership with us!
