Chris, Amy, Christian in Nerja, Spain
For the last few years, Keynote has had the privilege of sending a small team of musicians to the mid-year STINT [Short Term International] conference in Spain. Keynote staff member, Amy Snow, lead the team this year which included two musicians from Grace Community Church in Carmel, Indiana.
“…In Proverbs 11:25 it says ‘he who refreshes other will himself be refreshed.’ That was my prayer for the STINTers…that they’d be refreshed in deep ways after pouring out so much where they were serving. And as God does, He refreshed me too in deep ways getting to be a part of a team that got to serve them.” – Amy
In addition to leading times of worship during the conference, the team of three had the opportunity to mingle with the STINTers, hear their stories and encourage them. Chris and Christian were both inspired by getting to know some of these students who have given one or more years of their lives to serve in another country. Some of these students are serving in countries where sharing the gospel is either dangerous or illegal. Needless to say, being able to worship together with other believers lifted their spirits and helped equip them to return for the rest of the year.
More and more, Keynote has been able to involve “lay people” on our international trips and even some stateside events. Whether it’s playing an instrument, running sound, teaching communication or simply lending a hand, an opportunity to join us may be in your future!
